Iran has strongly condemned the brutal attack of the “apartheid Israeli regime” on Gaza and the killing of defenseless people and a senior commander of the Islamic Jihad movement, saying that the Palestinian people and groups have the right to respond to the terrorist actions in Tel Aviv.
“It is the legal right of the Palestinian people and the resistance groups to act and defend themselves against the aggression and terrorist movements of the Zionist regime,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Friday. Nasser Kan’ani.
He added that the Israeli regime’s new wave of airstrikes across the besieged Palestinian enclave was “criminal, adventurous and provocative”.
The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry stressed that the “apartheid regime of Israel” bears full responsibility for the “crime” and the consequences of its aggression on Palestine and the Gaza Strip.
Kan’ani urged all countries and international organizations to assume their legal, moral and human responsibility to defend the oppressed Palestinian people and condemn the terrorist actions of the Israeli regime.
They should also take steps to stop the continuation of such crimes by the Tel Aviv regime, which is the main factor of instability and insecurity in the region, he said.
Twelve people, including Tayseer al-Jabari, a senior commander of the Islamic Jihad movement, and a five-year-old child were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a center affiliated with the resistance movement in a residential area of the besieged Gaza Strip on Friday, just days after the regime arrested a senior member of the group.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said more than 80 people were also injured in the Rafah attack.
