Iranian judiciary condemns latest report by UN human rights rapporteur

The Iranian High Council of Justice for Human Rights issued a statement denouncing the latest report of the United Nations special rapporteur on human rights on Iran.

“The High Council for Human Rights strongly rejects and condemns Javid Rehman’s report on the human rights situation in Iran for not taking into account the facts on the ground and being based on an unprofessional approach,” unfair and politicized. Today, the exploitation of human rights as a tool by Western countries and the United States is clear to the peoples of the world, and the peoples of the world regard such political behavior as a genuine violation of rights. of man, ”the council said.

The council added that Western countries, which financed the former Iraqi regime’s war against the Iranian people and armed them with chemical and other weapons, killing and injuring many Iranians, cannot claim to be the champions of human rights.

The council said this was especially the case for Canada amid revelations about the murders of innocent Indigenous children, who were buried in mass graves.

The council also referred to the “illegal and inhumane” sanctions by the United States, which “have endangered the health of children, women and men, who need medicine and medical care.” He said the rapporteur’s failure to deal with such “gross human rights violations” by the United States is a source of deep regret.

He added that Rehman’s latest report is based on speculation and fabricated information by anti-Iran terrorist groups, and shows the rapporteur’s “lack of goodwill” and “insincerity”.

“Unfortunately, he [the rapporteur] undertakes to lay false accusations and present false information so that its latest report is legally null and void, ”the council stressed.
